Gladiators Bring Back Branden Troock After Four Years in Europe
The ECHL forward signs in Atlanta for 2026-27, his first ECHL stop since a 55-point season with Allen in 2021-22.
The Atlanta Gladiators have signed forward Branden Troock for the 2026-27 season, bringing back a player who last skated in the organization in 2018-19.
Troock has spent the past four seasons in Europe. Last year he split time between HKM Zvolen in Slovakia, Sport of Finland's Liiga and HC Vitkovice in Czechia, putting up 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 36 games.
His return marks his first ECHL work since 2021-22, when he scored 55 points (25 goals, 30 assists) in 51 games with the Allen Americans. In 174 career ECHL games he has 162 points (73 goals, 89 assists) across stops with Idaho, Greenville, Atlanta, Maine, South Carolina, Toledo and Allen. He played 30 games for the Gladiators, recording 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists).
Troock also has AHL mileage: 42 points (16 goals, 26 assists) in 130 games with Texas, Tucson, Hartford and Cleveland. Dallas drafted him in the fifth round, 134th overall, in 2012.
Before turning pro in 2014-15, he played four seasons with the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds, totaling 101 points in 144 games, with a career junior best of 58 points in 58 games in 2013-14.
Atlanta is the ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators and the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals.
