Zemgus Girgensons was unable to finish the Tampa Bay Lightning’s game against the Utah Mammoth on Saturday after suffering an undisclosed injury in the second period. CBS Sports and Pro Hockey Rumors cited an update from Lightning beat writer Benjamin Pierce.

CBS reported that Tampa Bay did not provide a further update after the game. The available reports did not establish the nature of the injury or a timetable for Girgensons to return.

The Lightning lost 5-4 in overtime to complete their Western Conference road trip. They next play Thursday, Oct. 29, when they host the Winnipeg Jets at Benchmark International Arena, according to the club’s game report.
