Flyers Trim Training Camp Roster to 42 Players
Philadelphia assigned eight players to Lehigh Valley's camp and returned seven more to their junior teams on Saturday.
The Philadelphia Flyers reduced their training camp roster by 15 players Saturday, leaving 42, general manager Daniel Briere announced.
Six forwards were assigned to Lehigh Valley Phantoms camp: Brady Berard, Alex Ciernik, Devin Kaplan, Owen McLaughlin, Ilya Pautov and Zayde Wisdom. Defensemen Jackson Edward and Andrew Perrott were also assigned to Phantoms camp.
Seven players were assigned to their respective junior teams: forwards Nathan Quinn and KJ Sauer; defensemen Brek Liske, Maksim Sokolovskii and Luke Vlooswyk; and goaltenders Martin Psohlavec and Marek Sklenicka.
The assignments reduce Philadelphia’s camp from 57 players to 42. An assignment to Phantoms camp does not yet determine a player’s regular-season destination.
