The Philadelphia Flyers will be without defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen for approximately two weeks with an upper-body injury, the team announced Monday.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia placed Ristolainen on injured reserve, retroactive to Oct. 24.

Ristolainen had missed nine games before returning Saturday in a 5-4 loss to the Anaheim Ducks, playing 14:34. Head coach Rick Tocchet said the Finnish defenceman re-aggravated a left hand injury in that game, Sportsnet reported.

The setback limits Ristolainen to four appearances this season, with one goal.

The Flyers (3-7-3), who had won three straight before Saturday's loss, host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
