FDNY and NYPD hockey teams join Rangers for 9/11 tribute
In their first home game since the 25th anniversary of the attacks, the Rangers honoured New York's first responders at Madison Square Garden.
The New York Rangers welcomed members of the FDNY and NYPD ice hockey teams to their home game at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 1. The guests stood on the ice for the player introductions as the club recognised New York's first responders following the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
In a social media message shared by NHL.com, the Rangers thanked those who responded to the attacks and those who continue to serve the city.
