Ducks assign three to San Diego, place five on waivers
Anaheim’s camp roster is down to 35 after the club assigned three forwards to the Gulls and sought waivers for five more players.
The Anaheim Ducks assigned three forwards to the San Diego Gulls and placed five other players on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the AHL club, Anaheim announced Friday. The moves reduced the Ducks' training camp roster to 35 players: 20 forwards, 12 defencemen and three goaltenders.
Cruz Lucius, Lucas Pettersson and Anton Wahlberg were assigned to San Diego. Centre Sean Farrell, centre Nathan Gaucher, centre James Hamblin, defenceman Corey Schueneman and defenceman Jett Woo were placed on waivers.
The five waiver placements are a step toward possible assignments; Anaheim had not announced that those players had cleared waivers or joined the Gulls.
