Dreger reports Red Wings’ asking price for Dylan Larkin
TSN reports Detroit is seeking four assets, but a match with one of the clubs Larkin would accept has yet to emerge.
Detroit is seeking two high-end prospects, a forward ready for a top-nine NHL role and a first-round selection in any trade involving Dylan Larkin, TSN’s Darren Dreger reported Thursday.
Dreger said he believes some clubs would pay that asking price. The unresolved issue, he said, is finding a fit among the teams Larkin would approve. TSN reported that the centre’s list has expanded to 10 contenders from three. No completed trade was reported.
Larkin requested a move during the summer and has continued playing for Detroit after losing the captaincy, Sportsnet reported. Its Elliotte Friedman said Larkin had at least considered Montreal, while cautioning that he did not know whether that destination was likely.
