The New Jersey Devils will wear a sponsor patch on their away jerseys for the first time, and it will carry Prudential's logo. The club announced a multi-year expansion of its partnership with Prudential Financial on Friday, naming the company its first-ever away jersey patch partner and PGIM, Prudential's global asset management business, its away helmet decal partner.

The patch and the PGIM decal are set to debut Saturday, October 3, against the New York Islanders.

The PGIM logo on away helmets pairs with the Prudential logo already on the home helmets. Prudential became the first company in NHL history to sign a helmet branding agreement, in 2020.

The deal also reaches into the community. Prudential will be presenting partner of the Devils' Raise Jersey program, which spotlights Newark-based nonprofits and social service organizations. It will continue as presenting partner of Military Appreciation Night and extend recognition of local heroes through the season. The partnership will also continue the annual donation of 200 hockey helmets to a local youth hockey organization chosen by Prudential and the Devils.

"Our jersey symbolizes more than just a hockey team, and we're proud to represent partners like Prudential and PGIM on the road, who are as dedicated to our community as we are," said Devils captain Nico Hischier.

Jake Reynolds, president of the Devils and Prudential Center, said the expanded deal builds "on a strong foundation on and off the ice."
