Celebrini and Sharks open homestand against Sabres tonight
Macklin Celebrini can reach a five-game home point streak that no Shark has managed since 2013-14 as San Jose begins a four-game stand.
Macklin Celebrini can extend his point streak in home games to five when San Jose hosts Buffalo on Tuesday. The Sharks begin a four-game homestand at SAP Center, with the game scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and SN360.
NHL.com says Celebrini could become the first Shark since 2013-14 to record a point in each of the team’s first five home games. He would join Patrick Marleau, Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl, who each had five-game streaks.
San Jose returns with a 6-5-1 record after collecting seven points on a six-game road trip. Buffalo is 4-4-3 and has won its past four visits to San Jose, a run that began on Feb. 18, 2023, according to NHL.com.
