Capitals place Jonny Brodzinski on waivers for Hershey loan

Washington listed the forward among four players placed on waivers as it cut its training camp roster to 24.

The Washington Capitals placed forward Jonny Brodzinski on waivers Sunday for the purpose of loaning him to the Hershey Bears, the club's public relations account announced. The proposed AHL loan depends on Brodzinski clearing waivers.

Brodzinski was one of four players Washington listed in the waiver group as it reduced its training camp roster to 24. The Capitals signed him to a one-year, one-way $850,000 contract in July.
