The Washington Capitals loaned defenceman Justin Holl to the Hershey Bears on Sunday, Oct. 18, general manager Chris Patrick announced.

Holl scored twice during his three-game stay with Washington after an Oct. 12 recall. He scored against Carolina in his Capitals debut and again against Montreal.

According to the Capitals, Holl became the first defenceman to score in each of his first two games for the franchise. He had also scored in his first two Toronto Maple Leafs games in 2017-18, making him the first NHL defenceman to do so with more than one franchise.

The 34-year-old had a goal and an assist in nine games with St. Louis last season. He also produced two goals and 12 assists in 41 AHL appearances for Grand Rapids.
