Liam Ohgren contributed a goal and an assist as Vancouver overturned a one-goal deficit with four third-period goals, beating Calgary 4-1 at Rogers Arena on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Matt Coronato had given the Flames the lead with a power-play goal at 14:51 of the first period. Calgary held that advantage through the second intermission.

Ohgren equalised at 1:28 of the third after following up his own attempt. The on-ice ruling was no goal, but video review established that the puck had crossed the line through the webbing of Devin Cooley's glove.

Defenceman Elias Pettersson put Vancouver ahead at 9:04, converting Ohgren's pass with a backhand. Drew O'Connor added the third goal at 16:33, and Aatu Räty scored into an empty net at 17:16.

Tom Willander and Linus Karlsson each recorded two assists. Leevi Merilainen stopped 23 shots for the Canucks; Cooley finished with 22 saves for Calgary.

Vancouver improved to 2-1-0 through its first three games. Calgary is 0-2-0 after its first two.
