Jayden Struble is moving from Montreal to Nashville. The Canadiens and Predators announced the trade Friday, Oct. 9, with Montreal receiving a second-round selection in the 2027 NHL Draft.

The pick originally belonged to the Vegas Golden Knights, according to both clubs. Nashville general manager Chris MacFarland said Struble would bring mobility and a physical presence to the Predators' defence.

Struble, 25, has played three games this season without recording a point, averaging 12:05 of ice time. He was selected 46th overall by Montreal in the 2019 draft.

Across his four NHL seasons with the Canadiens, the left-shot defenceman has seven goals and 28 assists in 174 regular-season games.
