Canadiens recall goalie Jacob Fowler from Laval Rocket

The 21-year-old returns to Montreal after playing 17 NHL games last season.

The Montreal Canadiens recalled goaltender Jacob Fowler from the Laval Rocket on Wednesday, the club announced.

Fowler posted a 9-6-2 record with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in 17 games for Montreal in 2025-26. The 21-year-old from Melbourne, Florida, was Montreal’s third-round selection, 69th overall, in the 2023 NHL Draft.

The Canadiens host the Nashville Predators at the Bell Centre on Thursday.
