Brind'Amour Believes Taylor Hall Will Play for Hurricanes Against Bruins

The Carolina winger left the morning skate early Tuesday, but coach Rod Brind'Amour believes he will play against Boston.

Taylor Hall is expected back in the Carolina Hurricanes lineup Tuesday night against the Boston Bruins (8 p.m. ET; ESPN).

Hall left the morning skate early Tuesday, but coach Rod Brind'Amour believes he will play, according to NHL.com's status report. Hall had sounded confident a day earlier. "I think I'll be in tomorrow, barring anything unexpected," he said Monday, per the Hurricanes.

The forward has been out since he was hurt in the second period of a 4-2 win over the Washington Capitals on Oct. 13 with an upper-body injury. The Hurricanes activated him from injured reserve Monday, when he practiced with the team for the first time in nearly two weeks and skated on a line with Jordan Martinook and Seth Jarvis.

Hall has five points (three goals, two assists) in eight games this season. Mark Jankowski could also return after missing four games with a lower-body injury, according to the league's status report.
