Michael Brandsegg-Nygard scored twice and delivered eight hits Tuesday as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-4 in a preseason game. Pittsburgh dressed Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Rickard Rakell.

Detroit defenseman Anton Johansson recorded four assists. Axel Sandin-Pellikka scored, Nate Danielson set up one of Brandsegg-Nygard's goals, and Theo Rochette added two assists.

The Red Wings out-hit Pittsburgh 31-19, led by Brandsegg-Nygard's eight hits and Emmitt Finnie's six. Detroit was shut out 1-0 by Columbus in its preseason opener Monday.
