Boston's Development Path Runs Through Providence and Maine

The Bruins' affiliates in Providence and Portland form the AHL and ECHL levels of the organization's player-development system.

The Boston Bruins' development system includes the AHL's Providence Bruins and the ECHL's Maine Mariners.

Providence is Boston's primary affiliate and plays in the AHL's Atlantic Division at Amica Mutual Pavilion. The organizations' affiliation agreement runs through the 2028-29 season.

Maine plays in the ECHL's North Division at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. Boston extended that affiliation through the 2027-28 season.

Providence opens its regular season Oct. 2 at home against the Utica Comets. The P-Bruins' preseason begins Sept. 25 at Springfield before the teams meet again in Providence the following night.
