Blues Send Six Players to Springfield as T-Birds Camp Opens
St. Louis assigned two forwards, three defensemen and a goaltender to the Thunderbirds, with Felix Trudeau also reporting to rehab an upper-body injury.
The St. Louis Blues have assigned six players to their AHL affiliate in Springfield, general manager Alexander Steen announced Wednesday.
Forwards Justin Carbonneau and Nikita Susuev, defensemen Quinton Burns, Arseni Koromyslov and Colin Ralph, and goaltender Will Cranley are all headed to the Thunderbirds.
Separately, forward Felix Trudeau has reported to Springfield to continue rehabilitation from an upper-body injury.
The timing lines up with the start of Thunderbirds training camp, which is already underway. Springfield has two preseason exhibition games on the calendar, both against Providence: Friday at home and Saturday in Providence. Each is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
Friday's game will be available on AHLTV via FloHockey, with local radio coverage on NewsRadio 560 AM and 98.9 FM WHYN.
