The St. Louis Blues open their four-game preseason Saturday against the Dallas Stars at Enterprise Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

Coach Jim Montgomery expects to dress fewer veterans than in later exhibitions, giving young prospects an early look. Forward Otto Stenberg and defenseman Theo Lindstein are among those expected to play. The group also includes goaltender Jordan Binnington, Pius Suter and Alexey Toropchenko. Ross Johnston, who signed with St. Louis in free agency this summer, is expected to make his first appearance for the Blues.

Montgomery said he plans to use one power-play unit in the second preseason game, the other in the third and both groups in the finale. The regular-season opener is Oct. 2 on the road against Dallas.

Saturday's announced lineup also lists forwards Justin Carbonneau, Zach Dean, Maddox Dagenais, Jack Finley, Aleksanteri Kaskimaki, Juraj Pekarcik, Dylan Peterson and Jakub Stancl; defensemen Quinton Burns, Lukas Fischer, Arseni Koromyslov, Colin Ralph and Tyler Tucker; and goaltender Georgii Romanov.

Fans in the Blues' broadcast territory can stream the game on the team's website or app. Chris Kerber and Joey Vitale will call the game on 101 ESPN (101.1 FM).
