Dillon Dube will be re-evaluated in eight weeks because of a neck injury, the NHL reported Saturday. The St. Louis Blues forward was hurt against the offensive-zone boards following a check by San Jose's Will Smith in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss.

The Blues host Columbus at Enterprise Center at 6 p.m. CT. Dube scored short-handed in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to San Jose, his first goal with St. Louis.

Montgomery wants his team to be more comfortable protecting a narrow lead. In the Blues' official preview, he said mistakes had allowed the Sharks to tie Thursday's game before winning in overtime. He stressed short shifts and sustained pressure when St. Louis is ahead.

Connor McMichael leads the Blues with four points, including two goals, through four games. Columbus arrives after Friday's 3-2 shootout victory over Pittsburgh, making Saturday the second half of a back-to-back.

St. Louis begins a three-game road trip Tuesday, Oct. 13, in Ottawa and returns home Oct. 20 against Winnipeg.
