Blues' Brandon Carlo ejected in debut for kneeing Stars' Roope Hintz
The defenceman drew a five-minute major and a game misconduct early in the third period of his first game with St. Louis.
Brandon Carlo was sent off in his St. Louis Blues debut on Friday after a kneeing penalty against Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz. The NHL play-by-play recorded a five-minute major and a game misconduct at 2:49 of the third period.
St. Louis was leading 2-0 when Carlo stepped towards Hintz near the Blues' blue line and the players collided knee-on-knee, Sportsnet reported. Hintz left the ice briefly but was back before the five-minute penalty ended, according to the report.
