Blue Jackets Name 20-Player Roster for Preseason Opener
Columbus lists 12 forwards, six defensemen and two goalies for Monday’s home game against Detroit.
The Columbus Blue Jackets named a 20-player game roster for Monday's preseason opener against the Detroit Red Wings at Nationwide Arena. The puck drops at 7 p.m. ET, according to the club.
The 12 forwards include Mathieu Olivier, Conor Garland, Owen Sillinger, Oiva Keskinen, Luca Pinelli and Luke Tuch. Denton Mateychuk, Ivan Provorov and Dante Fabbro are among the six defensemen. Jet Greaves and Pheonix Copley are the two listed goaltenders. The announcement names the players on the game roster but does not specify line combinations or a starting goalie.
Monday's game is the first of four on Columbus' preseason schedule. The Blue Jackets then visit Buffalo on Sept. 22, host Pittsburgh on Sept. 24 and visit Detroit on Sept. 26.
