Blackhawks Loan Eight Players to Rockford, Assign Fitzgerald

Chicago sent eight players to its AHL affiliate and assigned Cavan Fitzgerald after releasing the defenseman from his professional tryout.

The Chicago Blackhawks loaned eight players to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League on Monday and assigned defenseman Cavan Fitzgerald to Rockford after releasing him from his professional tryout.

The eight loaned players are forwards Gavin Hayes, Paul Ludwinski and Samuel Savoie; defensemen Ashton Cumby, Jake Furlong and Taige Harding; and goaltenders Stanislav Berezhnoy and Adam Gajan.

Chicago's training camp roster now stands at 38 players: 24 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goaltenders.
