Blackhawks loan Connor Mackey to Rockford, trim camp to 28

The defenceman joins the IceHogs after Chicago announced another training camp move Saturday.

The Chicago Blackhawks loaned defenceman Connor Mackey to the AHL's Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, the NHL club announced. Chicago's training camp roster now stands at 28 players: 17 forwards, eight defencemen and three goaltenders.

Rockford said Mackey's arrival brought its camp roster to 39 players, including 22 forwards, 14 defencemen and three goaltenders.
