Avalanche place six on waivers, assign six to Eagles camp
Colorado says its preseason roster is down to 25 after Sunday’s moves.
The Colorado Avalanche reduced their training camp roster by 12 on Sunday, placing six players on waivers and assigning six others outright to the Colorado Eagles' American Hockey League camp. The club said its preseason roster now stands at 25.
Defencemen Wyatt Aamodt and Keaton Middleton, left wing Adam Beckman, centre Vinnie Hinostroza, right wing Fabian Lysell and centre Tristen Nielsen were placed on waivers for Sept. 27, according to the Avalanche.
Colorado assigned defencemen Sean Behrens, Alex Gagne and Gustav Stjernberg, right wing Gavin Brindley, left wing Matt DiMarsico and goaltender Ilya Nabokov outright to Eagles camp. The club did not say that any of the six players on waivers had cleared or been assigned.
