Amadeus Lombardi is on the New Jersey Devils’ opening roster for the 2026-27 NHL season. The club listed him among 14 forwards in its Sept. 28 roster announcement, setting up a chance for the former Grand Rapids Griffins centre to make his NHL debut.

New Jersey opens against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. ET. Being on the roster does not guarantee Lombardi a place in that game’s lineup.

The Devils acquired Lombardi from the Detroit Red Wings on June 25 for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. He recorded 16 goals and 42 points in 47 regular-season games for the Griffins in 2025-26, according to Detroit’s trade announcement. Detroit selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 draft.
