Alec Martinez joins Kings broadcasts as analyst for select games
The three-time Stanley Cup champion will make his broadcasting debut on ABTV, joining returning play-by-play voice John Kelly and lead analyst Jim Fox.
Former Los Angeles Kings defenceman Alec Martinez will make his broadcasting debut as an analyst on select Kings telecasts in 2026-27, the club and ABTV announced Friday.
Martinez, a 16-year NHL veteran and three-time Stanley Cup champion, joins a broadcast team led by John Kelly, back for his second season as the Kings’ lead play-by-play voice, and Jim Fox, who returns as lead analyst. Tony Granato will also analyse select games, while Josh Schaefer will handle play-by-play for select broadcasts.
Former Kings Jarret Stoll and Daryl Evans will return to “LA Kings Live” for pregame, postgame and intermission coverage, and both will rotate into the analyst chair. Patrick O’Neal and Carrlyn Bathe return as hosts, with Bathe also reporting from rinkside.
ABTV’s Kings coverage begins with Saturday’s preseason finale against the Anaheim Ducks. The club said the telecast will be available free on the DAZN app.
