Abby Newhook Cracks Top 25 Under 25 Honorable Mentions
The Boston forward made the Ice Garden's 2026 honorable mentions after a 14-point rookie season and an All-Rookie Team selection.
The Ice Garden named Boston Fleet forward Abby Newhook an honorable mention in the second installment of its 2026 Top 25 Under 25. It is Newhook's first appearance on the list.
Boston selected Newhook 34th overall in the fifth round of the 2025 PWHL Draft. Fleet general manager Danielle Marmer told reporters after the draft she was "wildly surprised" Newhook was still available, according to The Ice Garden.
Newhook scored three goals in her first four PWHL games and finished her rookie regular season with 14 points — seven goals and seven assists — in 29 games. She placed second among first-year forwards and earned a spot on the league's All-Rookie Team.
The 23-year-old from St. John's, Newfoundland, had 113 points in 142 games at Boston College. The Fleet announced in July that she had signed a two-year contract through the 2027-28 season.
