Sherwood Rekker Legend Pro: The Pyrofil Flagship, Explained
Sherwood's top line stick pairs Mitsubishi Pyrofil carbon with a dual zone low kick point built to load and release faster.
The Rekker Legend Pro is Sherwood's flagship composite stick, sitting at the top of the Rekker line. If you want the brand's best materials and its newest shot geometry in one stick, this is it.
The shooting engine matters most. Sherwood built the Legend Pro around an all new DuoFire kick point, a dual zone low kick with a secondary flex zone. Sherwood pitches it as faster loading with more powerful releases, and that is the headline change over the prior Rekker generation: two zones flexing instead of one, aimed at a quicker snap and wrist shot without giving up the whip of a low kick.
The shaft is the other real story. The Ergo Taper shaft uses three distinct shape zones: rounded upper corners where your top hand sits, a concave front side mid section for a secondary kick feel and fingertip control, and an oval taper lower down for torsional stiffness. The idea is a shaft you can index by feel and that resists twisting when you load it.
Materials are legitimately high end. The lay up uses Mitsubishi's Pyrofil carbon fiber, which Sherwood credits for light weight and feel, alongside Blackline 25K carbon (25,000 filaments per square inch) for a strong, flexible weave. Featherlite XT tunes the balance point by trimming weight in the blade and lower shaft. The VR92 blade carries an I-92 dampening inlay that Sherwood says strengthens the blade and cleans up the feel on passes and shots.
Who is it for? Players who want a low kick, quick release stick with a shaped shaft and premium carbon, and who like Sherwood's blade feel.
On price, treat the $279.99 as the list figure. In mid 2026 it is widely discounted: HockeyMonkey lists the senior at $189.98 and HockeyWorld at $199.98. It comes in senior, intermediate, and junior with the usual flex, hand, and pattern options.
Weight and exact flex numbers were not published on the retailer pages checked, so verify those with the seller before you buy.
