The Belleville Senators will host a USports women's hockey preseason game at CAA Arena on Sunday, Sept. 20, the AHL club announced.

The matchup pits the Queen's University Gaels against the University of Montreal Carabins. Tickets are $10 and went on sale September 2 through Ticketmaster.

Both programs arrive with credentials. Montreal won the 2026 USports championship after a 13-11 regular season. Queen's, based about an hour down the highway in Kingston, went 19-7 and ranked among the stronger teams in the province.

It is a straightforward pitch: a low ticket price, a national champion, and a nearby Ontario school in a building that normally houses pro hockey. The date falls before the AHL regular season begins, which leaves the arena open for it.

The game is scheduled, not played. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m., according to the Senators' announcement.
