Kenzie Lalonde Has Worked Every PWHL Postseason

Kenzie Lalonde has called games in each of the PWHL's first three postseasons, often alongside analyst Cheryl Pounder.

The league listed Lalonde and Pounder on the English broadcast crew for a Boston-Montréal semifinal game in 2024. Lalonde then called the Montréal-Ottawa semifinal series and the Walter Cup Final in 2025. She and Pounder were back together for the 2026 Walter Cup Final between Montréal and Ottawa.

That postseason run now sits beside an Olympic assignment. Lalonde was part of CBC's play-by-play team for hockey at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, working women's tournament broadcasts with Pounder.

Lalonde is also TSN's Montréal bureau chief, covering the Canadiens and Alouettes. On Nov. 12, 2024, she made her debut on the Ottawa Senators' regional television package during a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. She became the first woman assigned regular television play-by-play duties for a Canadian NHL team.

Her route to the booth began after a five-season playing career at Mount Allison University. Lalonde was captain in her final two seasons and began exploring on-camera work while finishing her commerce degree. She later joined Eastlink Community TV in Halifax, where her first play-by-play assignment was an Amherst Ramblers-Truro Bearcats junior game.

On March 14, 2021, Lalonde became the first woman to call a televised QMJHL game. Later that year, TSN brought her to the IIHF Women's World Championship in Calgary, where she called 13 games.
