Hurricanes and Panthers Share Top Billing in 2027 Cup Odds
Carolina still sits atop the board, but Florida's summer addition of Brady Tkachuk pulled the Panthers level at +650.
Carolina opened the betting market in June as the favorite to repeat as Stanley Cup champion, and the Hurricanes are still there with the 2026-27 season approaching. They just have company now.
Florida's offseason, headlined by the acquisition of winger Brady Tkachuk, moved the Panthers up to co-favorite status alongside Carolina at +650 on the DraftKings board.
Colorado sits third at +700 after shortening from +800 over the summer. Edmonton made a similar climb, from 11-1 to +800. Vegas (+850) and Tampa Bay (12-1) did not move and complete the top six.
The biggest jump belongs to Washington, which went from 50-1 to 17-1 on the back of its own high-profile transactions.
The other side of the Tkachuk deal shows up plainly in Ottawa's number. The Senators lengthened from 16-1 to 35-1 after losing him to Florida.
Buffalo drifted from 25-1 to 30-1. Columbus doubled from 35-1 to 60-1. Boston fell from 60-1 to 100-1. At the very bottom of the board, Vancouver and Calgary are both listed at 1,000-1.

Odds this far ahead of the postseason are as much a read on roster churn as on anything that happens on the ice, and this summer's churn was heavy. Florida added a top-six winger and closed the gap on the defending champion. Ottawa lost one and more than doubled its price.
