CALGARY - Forward Carter Bancks of the Lethbridge Hurricanes was named WHL Player of the Week on Monday.
Bancks netted four goals in two playoff games over the last week, helping the Lethbridge Hurricanes win the Eastern Conference Championship series over the Calgary Hitmen 4-0.

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Judd Blackwater's second goal of the game 2:28 into double overtime lifted the Spokane Chiefs to a 4-3 win over the Tri-City Americans in Game 5 of the WHL's Western Conference final Saturday night.
The victory gives Spokane a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 6 goes Monday in Spokane, while Game 7, if necessary, will be played Tuesday in Kennewick.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Kruise Reddick scored 2:07 into overtime as the Tri-City Americans beat the Spokane Chiefs 3-2 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League playoff action.
Reddick scored the game winner after Drew Hoff forced Chiefs goaltender Dustin Tokarski to misplay the puck behind the net. Hoff tipped it out to Reddick in front of the net and he fired it in. The Americans evened the Western Conference final at 2-2. Three of the four games have gone to overtime.

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Carter Bancks scored a pair of goals and Juha Metsola made 25 saves as the Lethbridge Hurricanes routed the Calgary Hitmen 6-0 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final Tuesday night.
Craig Orfino, Adam Chorneyko, Mitch Fadden and Jeff May also added goals as the Hurricanes grabbed a 3-0 stranglehold on the series with Game 4 Wednesday in Lethbridge.
