Oilers sign forward Robert Nilsson to three-year contract

EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers signed right-winger Robert Nilsson to a three-year contract Saturday.

Nilsson set career highs in 2007-08 with 10 goals and 31 assists in 71 games. He finished sixth on the Oilers in scoring.

The agreement comes a day after defenceman Tom Gilbert signed a US$24-million, six-year deal.

EDMONTON - It's taken Robert Nilsson a while, but the Little Magic Man is getting a chance to entertain NHL audiences with his offensive sleight-of-hand now that he's added reliability to his array of tricks.
