REGINA - Regina Pats GM Brent Parker has been diagnosed with a form of soft tissue cancer in his upper back and shoulder.
"To this point I have undergone one procedure and will undergo further tests and procedures in the coming days and weeks that will determine the extent of what lies ahead," Parker said in a statement Monday.

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Zack Smith scored in double overtime to lift the Swift Current Broncos to a 5-4 victory over the Regina Pats in Western Hockey League playoff action Wednesday.
Swift Current's come-from-behind victory tied the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series at two games each, with game five shifting back to Regina on Friday. Game six of the series returns to Swift Current on Saturday.

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - J.D. Watt's power-play goal 7:57 into overtime lifted the Regina Pats to a 4-3 overtime win over the Swift Current Broncos in WHL playoff action Tuesday.
Regina now leads the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series 2-1. Swift Current hosts Game 4 on Thursday. Swift Current's Keegan Dansereau sent the game into overtime when he scored his first goal of the series with 7:24 left in regulation.

REGINA - Tim Kraus scored the game winner as the Regina Pats defeated the Swift Current Broncos 2-1 in game one of the WHL's Eastern Conference quarter-finals Friday night.
It was a physical affair right out of the gate, as evidenced by Brett Leffler's huge hit on Swift Current defenceman Michael Wilson just seconds into the game.
