LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Juha Metsola made 29 saves as the Lethbridge Hurricanes shut out the Kootenay Ice 3-0 Friday night, clinching their WHL Eastern Conference semifinal series 4-1.
Jeff May scored in the opening period, Carter Bancks added a second period short-handed goal and Dwight King scored into an empty as the Hurricanes advanced to the East final for the first time since 1996-97.

NEWARK, N.J. - Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers had the New Jersey Devils' number during the regular season and nothing has changed two games into the playoffs.

PITTSBURGH - The Ottawa Senators got 49 saves from their goalie and erased a three-goal deficit. The Pittsburgh Penguins never blinked.
