Osgood has shut out the high-powered Penguins twice in the Stanley Cup final and had the best GAA in the playoffs following Game 4 as the Red Wings look to put the finishing touches on their fourth Stanley Cup in 11 years.

PITTSBURGH - No player has ever come from further away than Henrik Zetterberg to win the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.

The Detroit Red Wings didn't select the Swede until late in the seventh round of the 1999 NHL draft and that decision has never looked better than right now.

Zetterberg led his team in scoring on the way to capturing the Stanley Cup for the first time Wednesday and received the Conn Smythe Trophy from commissioner Gary Bettman afterwards. His 27 points also set a new playoff scoring record for the Red Wings - and tied him for the post-season lead with Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby - but it was his defensive play more than anything that earned him the award.

Sabres sign goalie Jhonas Enroth to three- year entry-level contract

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Goaltender Jhonas Enroth signed a three-year entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.

The Sabres' second-round pick in the 2006 NHL draft is coming off a solid year in which he helped Sweden win a silver medal at the World Junior Championships in January.

PITTSBURGH - The Detroit Red Wings are one win away from the Stanley Cup.

Fourth-liner Jiri Hudler got the game-winning goal 2:26 into the third period and Red Wings veterans Nicklas Lidstrom and Henrik Zetterberg shone in a 2-1 victory on Saturday night that pushed the gifted young Pittsburgh Penguins to the brink of elimination.

PITTSBURGH - Evgeni Malkin sat glumly at his stall, head in hands, staring downward.
