Injured hip to keep Wild forward Gaborik out of world championship

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Marian Gaborik has a hip injury that will keep him from playing in the IIHF World Hockey Championship for Slovakia next month.

The Minnesota Wild said Thursday its star right winger will undergo further medical consultation before a decision is made on how to treat the injury.
