113 days 10 hours 40 minutes ago.

WINDSOR, Ont. - Devin Didiomete scored unassisted in overtime as the Sarnia Sting defeated the Windsor Spitfires 4-3 on Thursday night, winning the OHL Western Conference quarter-final playoff series 4-1.

Justin DiBenedetto, Jared Gomes and Matt Martin also scored for Sarnia, while Ryan Ellis had a goal and an assist to lead the Spitfires. Taylor Hall and Elgin Reid had Windsor's other markers.

Sarnia superstar Stephen Stamkos, who had nine goals in the first four games of the series, was held pointless.

Andrew Engelage started his first game of the playoffs and faced 47 shots while taking the loss in net for the Spits.

Andrew Perugini had to contend with 54 shots at the other end.

The Sting move on to face the Kitchener Rangers in a Western Conference semifinal series.

Windsor was playing without Brad Snetsinger as he was sitting out the third game of a three-game suspension, while left-winger Conor O'Donnell was also sitting out as he served the second game of a two-game suspension he received from a melee late in Game Three.

Defenceman Jordan Hill of Sarnia also sat out the second game of his two-game suspension.
