Hurricanes clinch second in WHL East by topping Oil Kings

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Dwight King and Dan Iwanski each scored two goals to lead the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings Sunday night in Lethbridge, clinching the second best record in the Eastern Conference for the playoff bound Hurricanes.

Lethbridge (45-21-2-4) will open the playoffs Friday at home against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Michael Maniago won his 25th game of the season in net, stopping 16 shots.

Expansion Edmonton got a lone goal from Brent Henke while Alex Archibald, playing his final junior game, made 38 stops.
