LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Dwight King and Dan Iwanski each scored two goals to lead the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings Sunday night in Lethbridge, clinching the second best record in the Eastern Conference for the playoff bound Hurricanes.
Lethbridge (45-21-2-4) will open the playoffs Friday at home against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Michael Maniago won his 25th game of the season in net, stopping 16 shots.

RED DEER, Alta. - The E0dmonton Oil Kings struck for four power-play goals Saturday en route to a 6-3 WHL win over the Red Deer Rebels.
Braeden Adamyk, Brenden Dowd, Brett Breitkreuz and Craig McCallum notched power-play markers for Edmonton (22-38-4-7), while Brent Raedeke and Shayne Neigum scored even strength.

EDMONTON - J.P. Szaszkiewicz scored twice and Jeff Lee added three assists as the Oil Kings snapped a seven game losing streak in their last home game of the season, defeating the Red Deer Rebels 5-1 in Western Hockey League action on Friday night.
Szaszkiewicz's game-winner came early in the second to put Red Deer (18-46-4-3) down 2-0. Michael Burns won the faceoff to left winger Szaszkiewicz, whose shot found the blocker corner behind Rebel netminder Morgan Clark.

BRANDON, Man. - Rookie Scott Glennie scored his first Western Hockey League hat trick to lead the Brandon Wheat Kings to a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday night.
The Wheat Kings scored three times in a span of less than three minutes in the first period, with Glennie notching two of those goals.

REGINA - Linden Rowat made 22 stops for the shut out, his third of the year, as the Regina Pats blanked the Edmonton Oil Kings 3-0 in the WHL Friday night.
The loss marks Edmonton's (20-36-4-7) fifth in a row and fourth of the season to the Pats (41-21-4-2).
