PITTSBURGH - Sidney Crosby says he has never met Don Cherry and doesn't consider himself to be in a feud with Hockey Night In Canada's colourful between-periods analyst.

When asked about his relations with Cherry on Saturday, the 20-year-old Pittsburgh Penguins captain said "I don't really have a relationship with him. To be honest. I've never met him."

Don Cherry blasts NHL for shooting puck over glass penalty

PITTSBURGH - Don Cherry again ripped the NHL over the automatic penalty given to players who shoot the puck over the glass, a call that helped cost Canada gold at the IIHF World Hockey Championship.

Speaking shortly after Rick Nash's delay of game penalty led to Ilya Kovalchuk's overtime winner in Canada's 5-4 loss to Russia in the gold-medal game Sunday, Cherry ranted that the rule was ruining games.

Don Cherry praises hockey moms, young players at luncheon

HALIFAX - They're dedicated, supportive and among the only people brave enough to touch stinky equipment: hockey moms.

And they're also on the top of Don Cherry's list. The colourful hockey commentator was in Halifax on Wednesday to pay tribute to the sport-loving mothers, whom he said are "the greatest people in the world."
