DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings can now concentrate on the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Nicklas Lidstrom scored twice to lift Detroit to a 4-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday, the final day of the regular season.

Detroit won the Presidents' Trophy, which goes to the team with the NHL's best record and ensures home ice throughout the playoffs. The Red Wings accumulated 115 points and will face Nashville in the first round.

CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks are still alive in the Western Conference playoff race - barely.

Rookie forward Patrick Kane had a goal and two assists, and Chicago beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-2 on Wednesday night to keep its slim post-season hopes alive. The Blackhawks, who won their third straight, must win their final two games to have any chance of reaching the post-season. Chicago has missed the playoffs eight of the last nine seasons.
