Outside of sharing the same first name, Chris Pronger and Chris Simon now have more in common than you would think. Pronger was handed an eight-game suspension Saturday for stomping on Vancouver's Ryan Kesler during a game Wednesday night.
The suspension was the eighth of Pronger's career, which pulls him even with Simon in number of times banished.
Simon was suspended 30 games for his kick on Pittsburgh's Jarkko Ruutu earlier this season. Last year, he also sat out 25 games for a vicious two-handed slash on Ryan Hollweg of the New York Rangers.
