Fabian Brunnstrom will start his NHL career next season with the Dallas Stars.
The Fabian Brunnstrom drama is over. The highly-touted 23-year-old Swedish prospect, who many feel is the best player not currently in the NHL, will begin his NHL career with the Dallas Stars next season.
Reports indicate Brunnstrom made his choice official Thursday, just hours before the Stars begin the Western Conference final against the Detroit Red Wings. It has been reported that more than half of the National Hockey League's teams showed serious interest in Brunnstrom and that he had narrowed down his choices to Dallas, Montreal, Detroit and Toronto.
Playing in his first season with Farjestad of the Swedish Elite League, Brunnstrom had nine goals and 37 points in 54 games.
