By only allowing a pair of goals in the first two games against Dallas last week, Osgood has helped Detroit to continue their dominance in the 2008 playoffs. Mr. Reliable has yet to lose a game in this current post-season.

Everyone had Dallas losing last night. Even the hometown media were...

Maybe it's time for Philadelphia Flyers' enforcer Riley Cote to tell a whole lot of people to mind their own business. Or, in other words, go to Hells.

As the Flyers catch the imagination of the City of Brotherly Love with their unexpected lengthy stay in these Stanley Cup playoffs, far too much is being made about Cote and his relationship with his cousin, a member of the Hells Angels.

Looking for a little animosity to be charged into the Western Conference final?

You just got it.

Proving that the he is a lock to be named recipient of this spring's Bonehead Play of the Post-Season Award, Mike Ribeiro played lumberjack as the clock ticked down last night in Game 2 of their Western Conference final, coming over the net to give Detroit goaltender Chris Osgood a two-handed chop across the chest.

In between writing children's books  and, oh yeah, trying to win a Stanley Cup, Marty Turco somehow found some time to fit a little car restoration into his schedule.

And now, the end result may dry a few tears on the face of a two-year-old girl.

The Fabian Brunnstrom drama is over. The highly-touted 23-year-old Swedish prospect, who many feel is the best player not currently in the NHL, will begin his NHL career with the Dallas Stars next season.

Reports indicate Brunnstrom made his choice official Thursday, just hours before the Stars begin the Western Conference final against the Detroit Red Wings. It has been reported that more than half of the National Hockey League's teams showed serious interest in Brunnstrom and that he had narrowed down his choices to Dallas, Montreal, Detroit and Toronto.

Conference finals set to start...just drop the puck!

Enough of the talking heads — it's time the players do the talking on the ice! I have had it with the predictions, the breakdowns, the insider information.

Do I really need to know, and why should I even care, how many bags of peanuts will be sold, or who has the greatest team-orientated men's room, complete with flashing goal light? Soon I expect an overhead view from the local news chopper chasing a car on the highway that is displaying the home team's flag flapping from the window.
