Canada is still perfect at the World Junior Hockey Championship.

Canada posted its second shutout win in two days at the tournament, downing Slovakia 2-0 today in Pardubice. Yesterday the Canadians opened the WJHC with a 3-0 decision over the host Czech Republic.

Maybe it's just the alarmist in me, but I have to wonder if the Ontario Hockey League has a serious health problem brewing.

News that two players trying out for the Canadian junior team were sent home because they had mononucleosis was a little unsettling.

OHL players sweep weekly CHL awards

Justin Hodgman of the Erie Otters and Thomas McCollum of the Guelph Storm gave the OHL a sweep of the Canadian Hockey League's weekly awards.

Hodgman was named CHL player of the week while McCollum was selected as the ADT CHL goaltender of the week.
