Detroit and Colorado again! Colorado media taking shots at Detroit, again! Detroit bloggers responding again and that puck hasn't even dropped yet!
My memories of the Wings/Avs battles are just that, a memory. I tend to reflect on them every so often before looking forward to the games yet to be played. That is what is important to me today: games yet to be played and new memories to be made.

No matter what else happens in these wacky Stanley Cup playoffs, one thing that can't be overlooked is that we've probably seen Dominik Hasek play his final game in the National Hockey League.
For you poolies who took Hasek in your fantasy draft thinking the Detroit Red Wings would go deep into the playoffs, it looks as though you're out of luck. Better hope your forwards pile up the points, because your goalie won't be.

Has anyone figured out what goes on in the head of Scotty Bowman? If they have, I sure would like to talk to you.
In his current position with the Detroit Red Wings as a consultant, Bowman takes a low-key approach when speaking about his roll with the Red Wings. I had to laugh yesterday when I heard Scotty on a local radio interview when asked about the health of Tomas Holmstrom. Scotty said he read a report he may get in a game or two before the playoffs start and his current injury is improving.
