By only allowing a pair of goals in the first two games against Dallas last week, Osgood has helped Detroit to continue their dominance in the 2008 playoffs. Mr. Reliable has yet to lose a game in this current post-season.

With the IIHF World Hockey Championship bragging rights now on the line in Canada, bet you're wondering what it must feel like for the Europeans to have the crown jewel of their hockey season brought to this side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Now that the worlds are finally on Canadian soil, one of our more creative contributors feels things probably aren't all that rosy on the far side of the pond.

This season marks the first time since 1962, when Colorado hosted the tournament, that the World Championships are not being staged overseas.

TOP 10 THINGS EUROPEANS WILL MISS OUT NOT HOSTING THE WORLD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS...

#10 44 straight years as host continent streak ended.

#9 No early local European start times for fans watching in Europe.

#8 Seeing Teemu Selanne's Finnish swan song.

#7 Arenas in Europe will be left empty and quiet.

#6 The reality of "maybe next year I'll watch it live" is really next year.

#5 No home ice advantage for European countries.

#4 Missing out on watching Europe's 14 best hockey teams in action.

#3 Three periods of each game will produce history many Europeans won't see.

#2 Having it in Canada could produce the best competition ever.

#1 Missing out on a "Golden Opportunity" to see their country win it all LIVE!
